"Final Moments"

For me, please don't cry,
when, my death is nigh,
for I'll rest with peaceful smiles
and thank Nature for its grassy tiles
as I recall memories of love and life,
their magic and miracles blossom, thrive...
oh! only moments 'fore the End -
and all these emotions; why pretend
for I've done my part here on Earth
(Death is everywhere after Birth)
and believe me, as sad as it seems
to leave forever, in your dreams
I'll visit you, tell you I'm fine,
for the angels - with whom I'll dine -
shall take care of me; keep me well,
and maybe through the fields we'll dwell
as we hum the melodies of Heaven,
gaze I will, remember what's spoken...
but if Hell's where I'll be going,
I'll let the Reaper flow in
and crush me as my soul seeps,
poison me with death; for it creeps
inside of me, even now
and I fear that untimely vow -
but I fear you not!I fear you not...
so bring forth your bloody scythe,
show me the face that I long to spite:
I shall glare into the Death's eyes,
grind my teeth as I bade goodbyes
and clench Its throat to an eternal dance,
fall down the abyss, as my glance
becomes dim and begins to blur
and my senses, in their final spur,
fail me into an inevitable blackout -
I shall not complain nor shall I shout
for I'm ready for whatever comes my way;
there must be an end to this day...
so gather around friends, come near,
you're all I care for; you're dear,
oh don't cry, put a smile on your face -
we all book a ticket to another place -
so say something funny, give it a try
and I will smile even after I die.
Poem about an dying person's final moments.
